Comments on Philip's work

Noyed: Reflections on a Moment Fragmented in Time

Philip Noyed's paintings were recently mentioned in the short story Madame Matisse's Hat.

The story is about the appreciation of art. Here's what the author, Nenena, writes:

"She loved the chaos and audacity of Pollock, the rainbow clutter of Klee, the dizzying bubblegum-colored geometry of Noyed."

Here are some comments about Philip's paintings from a recent show:

"These paintings make me feel alive."

"These painitngs make my eyes feel better. Very nice, very nice. Excellent. Excellent."

"I see jazz in Philip's paintings. It's like John Coltrane, or someone like that, playing."

"I can feel music in your work. It's like listening to music!"

"You must be a happy guy with your selection of colors."

"Philip's work just explodes outward."

"Philip's paintings are definitely him: bright and energetic. You can see the influence of running and yoga."

"It's a piano! I can see a piano! And, people, too!"

Please send Philip your comments.
